What Happens Next?

The receptionist will process the referral and verify insurance (must be Medicaid/Lovelace/Blue Cross Blue Shield eligible).

If the consumer qualifies for services:
  • The receptionist will schedule an appointment for a Mental Health Assessment with the clinician.
  • The consumer will attend the Mental Health Assessment appointment, during which the consumer and clinician will determine which program(s) the consumer will benefit from.
  • A therapist and/or BMS Specialist will be assigned to the case and will contact the consumer to begin services.
If the consumer does not qualify for services due to insurance the receptionist will contact the consumer or referral source to inform them that they do not qualify and to present the consumer or referral source with possible alternative referral options.
